Canon has “, a new iOS live streaming app that supports up to three camera views that you can switch between with just a few clicks. The app currently only works with Apple devices and, strangely, does not support Canon cameras.
Live Switcher Mobile can allow users to specify how many seconds a viewpoint stays on a camera before automatically switching to another. The app also supports on-screen subtitles, as well as real-time commentary. However, the latter feature only works if you’re streaming on YouTube and Twitch, like Notes, the app can also stream to other RTMP supported platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, and even LinkedIn, among others.
Although Live Switcher Mobile is free, the non-paid version only supports resolutions up to 720p. There will also be advertisements and watermarks on the screen. A costs $18 per month and unlocks picture overlay and picture-in-picture zoom and motion features. Of course, the maximum resolution will be increased up to 1080p and remove ads and watermarks.
Live Switcher Mobile, compared to free apps like OBS Studio and Streamlabs, has fewer features, which means Canon has a lot of work to do to make the paid plan worth it. Fortunately, support for Canon cameras will be available soon.
