An unruly JetBlue passenger threw an exit over the wing of a flight attempting to leave Boston on Monday, forcing the plane to deploy its emergency slide.
The incident, which took place Tuesday evening at Boston’s Logan International Airport, was confirmed by JetBlue and the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport). Massport told FOX Business the suspect was a passenger.
“[He] “I tried to open the door while the plane was taxiing and the emergency slide was deployed,” an official said, adding that no injuries were reported.
Massachusetts State Police (MSP) arrived on scene around 7:25 p.m. and arrested the passenger. An MSP trooper told FOX Business the response was prompted by “reports of a disturbance.”

JetBlue later told FOX Business the flight was delayed following the incident.
“[The] “A customer, for unknown reasons, opened an over-wing exit while the aircraft was taxiing at Logan, causing the deployment of an emergency slide,” the airline said. “The individual remained on board the aircraft and Massachusetts State Police were called to the scene.”
As of 8:30 p.m., JetBlue said it was “working to get our customers departing as quickly as possible.”

The Logan Airport incident wasn’t the only unusual incident involving JetBlue this week. Two bodies were found Monday on JetBlue flight 1801 from New York’s JFK Airport to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Authorities found the bodies, which were in the plane’s landing gear, during a routine maintenance inspection, a JetBlue spokesperson told FOX Business.
