France must reverse a deficit of two goals during the second stage of their equality in the quarter -final of UEFA Nations League on Sunday evening when they visit Croatia.
The Blues underwent a 2-0 surprise defeat in Split Thursday evening while the goals of Ante Bumimir and Ivan Perisic shot the star team of Didier Deschamps, leaving the 2018 world champions with a huge hill to climb if they want to reach the semi-finals.
The disappointing defeat in the middle of the week means that they have now lost their last two clashes with Croatia and that their work will make bread to unlock the experienced outfit of Zlatko Dalic in Saint-Denis.
Thursday’s victory ended a three -game victory race for Croatia, which will be confident for the return leg on Sunday. However, they have not won far from the home at home since before Euro 2024 and cannot afford any touch of concentration against France’s superstars.
