Isiah Harwell will head to the Houston Cougars after having concluded a stellar basketball career at the Lycée at the Wasatch Academy in Pocatello, id. The 6 -foot 5 -inch shooting goalkeeper, who first attended Century High School, was transferred to Wasatch after his first year.
He added another prize to his name and shared it on his Instagram history on Wednesday:

During his first year in Century High, Harwell collected an average of 18 points and eight rebounds per game, leading his team to the final 4a District 5.
Harwell won the Wasatch Academy Vue Cup 2024-25 for an exceptional male artist in a single sport. In two seasons in Wasatch, Harwell collected an average of 14.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.6 blocks per competition, according to Maxpreps.
During his junior year, he scored 14.9 ppg, caught 4.7 RPG, released 1.9 APG, stolen the ball 0.6 times and had 0.6 BPG. He led the Tigers to a global record of 25-5 and an 8-2 file in the Florida Nike Elite Basketball League section, where they finished below CIA Bella Vista and the Brewster Academy National, in third place.
It has an average of 13.0 ppg, 2.7 RPG, 0.9 APG, 1.1 SPG and 0.6 BPG in its last year.
For the American team, Isiah Harwell won the FIBA Americas U16 2023 championship in Merida, Mexico. It has an average of 4.8 ppg, 3.3 RPG and 1.7 APG in six games.
One of his best games came against the hosts, in Mexico, in the group’s phase, where he scored eight points on a 3-en-4 shot, including 1 for 1 behind the arc. He also seized four rebounds, harvested four assists and stole the ball twice in 16:09 minutes.

With offers of best programs, including Bulldogs from the University of Gonzaga, California Golden Bears, Texas Longhorns, North Carolina Tar Heels and more, Harwell chose to sign for cougars on September 12 last year.
He talked about his decision with ESPN:
“Coach Sampson is a cool guy,” said Harwell. “He knows what to do with players to reach the next level, we talked about it. I have to shoot 38-40% out of 3, on average six or seven rebounds and play defense on the best player of the opponent. He said that if you do not play the defense, you are not playing in Houston.”
Harwell will be joined by Chris Cenac Jr., Kingston Flemings and Bryce Jackson next season.
