Real Madrid moved to points with the leaders of La Liga Barcelona after winning a hard victory against Rayo Vallecano at the Bernabeu.

Getafe achieved a superb late return to win a 2-1 victory on Atletico Madrid in a dramatic confrontation at the Alfonso Perez Coliseum.

Napoli won a 2-1 vital victory against Fiorentina to rekindle their title challenge of Serie A, ending a race without five games victory.
