The legend of Manchester United, Rio Ferdinand, clearly said that he thinks that Alejandro Garnacho should leave the club because it does not correspond to the Ruben Amorim system.
The former defender of the Red Devils says that, although he is a big fan of Garnacho, he cannot see the Argentinian international ending at the club at the moment due to the tactics used by Amorim.
Speaking on YouTubeFerdinand stressed that if he was the one who advised Garnacho, he would tell him to take the opportunity to join someone like Napoli.
There was speculation about the future of Garnacho in January, and we imagine that the 20 -year -old is still faced with a certain uncertainty when we get closer to summer.
Ferdinand believes that it could be logical for Garnacho to try something different and get out of United because of their current development under Amorim.
Alejandro Garnacho advised to request a transfer far from Manchester United
Discussing Garnacho’s situation, Ferdinand said: “If I recommend Garnacho, I say I want to go to Napoli.
“If we didn’t have Amorim as a manager, if we had a manager who played with wingers, then I don’t sell Garnacho – no chance, I keep it here.
“I love him, he may not be in his best form right now, but I like Garnacho. He has confidence and arrogance about him that he wants to be the best.
“He may not go through this spell now, it happens to all young players … But the system that the manager plays does not suit him.
“So, if I am him or an advisor to his team, I say” guys, thank you, but I want to go now “.
“And if I am his advisor, I want him in an environment that will make the most of him. If I am him, I would get out of there, because I think the system will only hold it back.”
United Fans will surely have mixed feelings on this subject, because it could be risky to leave a high level talent like Garnacho leave for another big European club.
Garnacho has enormous potential, and could be the kind of player that it is worth rebuilding, although at the same time it may seem unlikely that Murim changes his system for a single player.
