David Ornstein congratulated Manchester City for keeping the best talent that could well be the next Cole Palmer.
Speaking on a podcast with athletics, Ornstein suggested to Man City managing to keep Nico O’Reilly despite the efforts of Chelsea to sign him.
Chelsea notably signed Palmer de City when he was a relatively unknown young person, but he ended up exploding with a world -class form during his move to Stamford Bridge.
It remains to be seen if O’Reilly will take a similar path, but it seems that Chelsea has clearly estimated that it was another raid of the city which could be worth it, Ornstein even suggesting that he looks like someone with the Potential to be palmer ‘Mark 2’…

O’Reilly could now have a clear path to enter the first team of Pep Guardiola if the club was so eager to keep it, it will therefore be interesting to see if it gets more playing time soon.
So far, the 19 -year -old has only made six competitive games for the club, and only one of them came in the Premier League.
Nico O’Reilly could have been a good signature for Chelsea
Fans of Chelsea will undoubtedly be disappointed to learn that their club was in the mixture for a talent also very well rated but could not conclude an agreement.
In many ways, it also seems that it could end up being a bit of a waste of O’Reilly potential, because it would probably have been more likely to obtain regular playing time in Chelsea.
The western giants of London really launched the career of Palmer after being neglected by the city, while perhaps the international in England under 20 would have done well to take a similar path.
City now needs to make more use of their beautiful harvest of academy players where they will inevitably lose more as they did with Palmer, and this could be a big boost for a certain number of their rivals Premier League.
