2025 is a big year for television, but which shows do we really know will return for more seasons?
Apple TV+ surprised viewers by renewing Bad monkey after the end, the future of the series is unclear. Based on the novel of the same name by Carl Hiasen, Bad monkey follows former police detective Andrew Yancy (Vince Vaughn) who is demoted to restaurant inspector before becoming drawn into a murder investigation when a severed arm is pulled out of the water.
While Bad monkey seemingly finished every scenario, there was still hope. Nathalie Martinezwho plays Rosa, aka Yancy’s lover, told exclusively Us every week in October 2024, that “the possibilities are endless” before addressing the shocking separation of the main on-screen couple.
“There is a lot of love between Rosa and Yancy. He’s helped her in so many ways and there’s definitely this great friendship there,” she shared. “They love each other a lot and in that moment he says, ‘It’s not not a goodbye, see you later.’ So I think the possibilities are endless there, where they’re part of everyone’s pivotal moment.
Rivals on Hulu is another show that will have more time to explore the story. Season 1 introduced a feud between two men fighting for control of a television channel in 1980s Britain, but ultimately it was the age-gap romance between Rupert (Alex Hassell) and Taggie (Bella MacLean) — and that of Declan (Aidan Turner) presence – which won over the fans.
“I’m really intrigued. There are so many obstacles in our way and Rupert is truly morally conflicted. I wonder what’s going to happen now with Taggie,” MacLean said exclusively. We in December 2024 on the future of Rupert and Taggie. “It’s going to be a lot bumpier, but what that means for Taggie is a really interesting thing. There are lots of ideas floating around. We need to have season 2 soon.
