A Coldplay concert in Ahmedabad took a bizarre round when two men burst into a full -fledged fight while the group interpreted its successful song Viva la Vida.
A video of the fight, shared by the X “Ghar Ke Kalesh” account, has become viral, showing men throwing punches, slaps and even leading while the amazed spectators were trying to intervene. The confrontation took place while Chris Martin and his group comrades played one of their most emotional songs on stage.
Chaos has intensified when a man bit the other’s hand before being slapped again. The spectators had trouble separating them, but the fight continued. The viral position capturing the moment said: “Kalesh during the Coldplay concert (Viva la Vida turns into a Kalesh).”

Social media had a day on the ground with the unexpected concert drama. A user joked: “Viva la Kalesh is the hymn we did not know that we needed. Ahmedabad in stupid mode!” Another wrote: “It is only in India that Viva la Vida could become Viva la Kalesh during a concert by Coldplay! It is the crossover that we did not know that we needed!”
Others were not amused, calling behavior. “Ahmedabad had just made a file, but these people tarnished it with their behavior,” said a person. “They even hit a woman – there should be a police case against them.”
The British rock group, led by Chris Martin, was in Ahmedabad for consecutive concerts on January 25 and 26 after playing Mumbai earlier this month. Known for his commitment to the crowd, Martin Charmed Fans by speaking in Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati, even cries to Shah Rukh Khan and the Cricket player Jasprit Bumrah, who attended the series.
Since the concert coincided with the day of the Republic, Coldplay interpreted Vande Mataram and Maa Tujhe Salaam in tribute to the patriotic spirit of India.
Ahmedabad’s concerts have attracted a star audience, notably Kartik Aaryan, Suhana Khan, Vijay Varma and the Sachin Tentulkar cricket icon.
Coldplay, featuring guitarist Jonny Buckland, bass player Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion and manager Phil Harvey, occurred in India to the Global Citizen Festival 2016 in Mumbai.
