For the second weekend of the month, Netflix’s most popular programs include different wildly series that have almost nothing in common with each other.
But that also illustrates the strength of Netflix programming, where even a South African vengeance thriller can become one of the 10 best shows in the world.
The Watch with US team gathered our choices for the three underestimated programs to watch this weekend.
The choices of this week include an emotionally moving update of a novel by a classic young adult, the second season of an original Netflix and a horror show on AMC.
‘Forever’ (2025)

If you’ve already read Judy BlumeRoman Y 1975 ForeverSo you could get most of this newly published Netflix series. But Blume’s beloved novel was completely reinvented by Showrunner Mara Brock Akil In a modern love story between two black adolescents, Justin Edwards (Michael Cooper Jr.) and Keisha Clark (Lovie Simone).
Justine and Keisha both come from magnetic houses, and they are both high school athletes with a brilliant future. They also feel the weight of the implacable pressure to meet the expectations that have been placed to them. It is difficult for Keisha and Justin to understand what they really want to do with their lives when they have the weight of the world on their shoulders. Sometimes these external pressures distance them from each other. But they always seem to find their way together, even if the end of high school threatens to end their flourishing romance.

‘Unseen’ (2023 – Present)

In the first season of InvisibleZenzi Mwale (Gail Mabalane) was the hell to find her husband after her disappearance. Otherwise, Zenzi was unleashed through the criminal criminal world of South Africa to take revenge. She literally talked about a rim at the end of last season, but Invisible Season 2 finds her trapped in prison and described as a serial killer by the media.
Although Zenzi’s future seems quite dark, she has a chance to win her freedom if she cooperates in an investigation into Andrew Harting (Frank Rautenbach), a corrupt South African billionaire who can remind you of an eminent real billionaire who is also from South Africa. The chances are stacked against Zenzi, but now she has a reason to live again if she can see this mission to the end.

‘The terror’ (2018 – Present)

There are three seasons of TerrorEveryone with their own autonomous horror story. Season 3 will be presented on AMC later this yearBut Netflix has only the first season of the acclaimed series. In 1846, two British ships, the HMS Erebus And the HMS Terrorleft for the Arctic under the command of Sir John Franklin (Ciarán Hinds) and Francis Crozier (Jared Harris). The expedition was supposed to travel through the passage of the northwest, but too much ice blocked the two ships for the winter.
When winter passes, ships remain stuck. But now men turn each other, the supplies are weak and there can be a supernatural monster attacking the other members of the crew. You will have to watch the show to find out more about the monster, but whatever its origins, it is a very real threat to the survival of the two teams.
