The Texan was ejected from the room for having heckled the president and arrested the address, which set the tone for a night of confrontation.

But his conciliation tone quickly became more aggressive when he promised: “I think we are going to get it, in one way or another.”
While surveys suggest that the Greenlanders have little interest in joining the United States, the president insisted that the ownership of the Danish territory was the key to American national security.
“We will keep you safe, we will make you rich and together, we will take Greenland to heights as you have never thought possible before,” Trump told the citizens of the islands.

The president said that he had received a letter from the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy earlier on Tuesday, suggesting that the country was ready to sign a mineral agreement sponsored by the United States, just a few days after the two leaders faced publicly in the oval office.
But he also defended his awareness of Vladimir Putin and said that he had “received strong signals” that Moscow was “ready for peace”.
“It’s time to stop this madness,” he said. “It’s time to stop murder. It is time to put an end to this insane war. If you want to end the wars, you have to talk to both sides. »»
