Chelsea Freeman provided an update of hope on his son Maximus4 years, which was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder last year.
Max – Who Chelsea shares with her husband, Los Angeles Dodgers Star Freddie Freeman – was transported urgently to hospital in July 2024 after he could not sit, stand up or walk. Chelsea, 33, and Freddie, 35, finally announced that Max had been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, an autoimmune disorder during which the body’s immune system attacks the nerves.
In an exclusive interview with US WeeklyChelsea explained how Max progressed in the months that followed his initial hospitalization.
“He was so resilient,” said Chelsea, who told us about his partnership with Off! For adults and children. “It was incredible to see. He is still in [physical therapy] twice a week. It will be a complete recovery of one year before it is back to finish normal. »»
By thinking about the test, an emotional Chelsea called it “the most terrifying thing I have ever gone through”.

“It was very, very, very intense,” said Chelsea. “It has obviously taught us that health is everything. It was horrible. It was completely paralyzed on a fan. Seeing him capable of playing outside is really a miracle for his illness. »»
Max, who was 4 years old in February, is much more than playing outside. Chelsea said that he had already taken swimming lessons and that she and Freddie recently signed him to play Little League.
“I was not even sure a few months ago if he was going to be able to play baseball,” admitted Chelsea. “You don’t know exactly how recovery will go.”
Not only Max takes his shooting after his father – who was appointed MVP of the World Series in October after the Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in five games – he also picked up the bat in the same way that his two older brothers did it before him.
In addition to Max, Chelsea and Freddie also share threads Charlie8 years old, and Brandon4 years, which was born three months before max by substitution maternity.
“It’s really cool,” said Chelsea when he saw her three boys on the diamond. “Freddie grew up playing Little League, so it’s really cool to see that Charlie is so in baseball. Brandon is a left -handed like Freddie. And Max is also very athletic. It is very special to see them follow in the footsteps of their father. »»
With the baseball season at the corner of the street – for Freddie and the boys – Chelsea will be used! To help keep your family sheltered from mosquitoes and other nuisances while they appreciate the American hobby.
“My children love to put it,” said Chelsea laughing. “With the start of baseball and warmer weather, insects and ticks … I love this product, it is obviously sure to put my children. They don’t fight me at all by using it. It is a prevention method that is super important to me. »»
