King Charles III has experienced temporary side effects from his treatment against cancer in progress which required a brief stay in hospital for observation Thursday morning, Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
“After a planned and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, the king experienced temporary side effects which required a short period of observation in the hospital,” said the palace.

The declaration added: “His Majesty’s afternoon commitments were therefore postponed. His Majesty now returned to Clarence House and, as a precaution, acting on medical advice, the program of the newspaper of tomorrow will also be returned.
