The celery sold at Walmarts in nearly 30 states has been recalled due to a possible risk of contamination by Listeria, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
California Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc. voluntarily recalled washed celery and ready-to-eat after a random sampling by the Georgia Department of Agriculture in a Georgia store has given a positive result.

The sticks are available in four charges and have a date of sale on March 23, although the FDA noted that buyers may have frozen celery to use later.
