A New York University was slapped with a federal civil rights trial alleging that the new school design school of the school “allowed a climate of anti -Semitic hostility” following the massacre of October 7.
The trial was filed by Dhillon Law Group on behalf of Brandon White, a recent graduate of parsons.
The prosecution alleges that “the university has failed to protect it from assault, insults and a prolonged harassment campaign, fueled by the erroneous belief of the demonstrators that he was Jewish”. The school is accused of not acting to arrest the group of students for justice in Palestine (SJP) on its campus – with teachers and other activists – to harass Jewish and Israeli students, or those who seem to belong to one or the other group.

White is neither Jewish nor Israeli, but he alleges that he was subjected to mockery and harassment of anti-Israeli activists. According to the trial, on December 4, 2023, the activists prevented White from entering the class university center, shouted insults to him, pushed him, slammed a door and threatened him.
“When someone prevents you from going to class and withdraws from the only entry because he supposed what you think, and the university increases your shoulders – it is clear that something is broken,” said White. “This trial consists in resisting this kind of hatred and holding responsible school.”

The former president of the University of Columbia would have been pressed by the government on the anti -Semitism of the campus
The demonstrators would have launched a “smear campaign” against White online using his photo and made false claims according to which he was a “violent fanatic”. Although White reports the incident, the school has opened a disciplinary investigation against him – and not his alleged attackers. In the end, the university did not act against those who would have harassed whites and its complaint was rejected.
“The process of the Kangaroo court has not simply failed Brandon White – he sent a message that Jewish students and those who are perceived as Jews, are not sure or supported on campus,” said Yael Lerman, legal director of Standwithus.
The new school sent Fox News Digital a declaration on the trial, saying that it is their policy not to comment on the current disputes.
“The new school is a place of shared learning, mutual respect and open and robust discussions by our students, our teachers and our staff. As a community, we do not tolerate discriminatory acts of any type led by any person based on their race, their religion, their national origin or other protected categories.

Matthew Sarelson, partner of Dhillon Law Group, said that the trial is more than a demonstration.
“This is a university that has enabled students and staff to use physical strength and public smear campaigns against those they judged the` `sionists ”, real or perceived, then punished the victims instead of the authors. What happened to Brandon was shameful,” said Sarelson. “Brandon White’s experience is not an isolated case, it is the symptom of a broken system where anti -Semitism is tolerated, even rewarded.”
