A third alleged accomplice was arrested as part of the escape of one of the ten detainees of the correctional establishment of the Orleans parish, according to Police from the State of Louisiana.
Connie Weeden, 59, would have helped the fugitives and was placed in police custody following an investigation which revealed that she was in contact by phone with Escapee Jermaine Donald – before and after the escape. Donald remains in freedom.
Authorities say Weden gave Donald money via a “mobile phone application”. She was accused of an accusation of accessories after the fact and reserved at the Correctional Center of the Parish of St. Tammany.

Weeden is the third person charged for helping the escapees from the jailbreak. Cortnie Harris and Corvanntay Baptiste have already been accused of having provided support and transport to other escapees.

The following fugitives are still in freedom:
- Corey E. Boyd, 19, faces accusations of second degree murder, attempted murder in the second degree, aggravated battery, illegal transport of arms involving crime and obstruction to justice.
- Lenton J. Vanburen Jr., 26, faces accusations of illegal transport of arms, possession of a weapon or a weapon by a criminal, obstruction of justice and the introduction of smuggling in prison.
- Jermaine Donald, 42, faces accusations of second degree murder, aggravated battery, possession of a weapon or a weapon by a criminal and obstruction to justice.
- Antoine Massey, 32, faces accusations of domestic violence involving a strangulation, theft of an engine vehicle and a violation of the parole.
- Derrick Groves, 27, faces three counts of attempted murder in the second degree, of two chiefs of second degree and battery of a correctional establishment.
- Leo O. Tate Sr., 31, faces accusations of simple burglary of inhabited accommodation, possession of a weapon or a weapon by a criminal, illegal transport of a weapon, a flight of motor vehicles and several drugs of drugs.
