Perplexity plans to open its comet browser which is supplied by “agent research” to Windows users, according to the CEO of the company. Aravind Srinivas Posted on X That the construction of the comet Windows is ready and sent invitations to the first testers. Perplexity CEO also referred to a potential version for Android devices, adding that it “moved at a crazy pace and passed before the calendar”.
In May, Perplexity launched a beta version of its Comet browser fueled in AI, only available for Mac users executing Apple Silicon. The intelligent browser is delivered with features of the cooked AI, such as the possibility of asking it questions, consulting the purchase baskets for discounts and digging up unanswered emails. The beta version even presents a “To try“The function where users can download a photo of themselves and the comet will generate an image of them wearing a selected garment.
There is still no official start, but Srinivas previously referred to a next outing in A post X Earlier this month. Comet still offers only one waiting list for those interested, but the browser has already aroused controversy. The CEO of the company previously made comments during an interview with the podcast that Perplexity would use the comet “to obtain data even outside the application to understand you better”. Srinivas Later clarified on x That the commentary was out of its context, adding that “each user will have the possibility of not being part of the personalization” with regard to the targeted announcements. When the comet is published, the agency browser will face competition from the neon opera and similar offers from Google and Openai.
