Pichai also mentioned the Gemini Deep Research – an AI agent who takes several minutes to create long research relationships – such as a feature that could fundamentally change the way people use Google research. “You really broaden the types of use cases considerably for which research can work – things that are not always responded instantly, but can take some time to answer,” said Pichai. “These are all areas of exploration, and you will see us put new experiences before users throughout 2025.”
Pichai also said that Google had a “clear meaning” of research experiences that he could create with another Google AI agents, Project Mariner. This system can use the front-ends of websites on behalf of users, which makes people use people to use websites themselves.
