A 25 -year -old engineer working for the Government Department (or DOGE) resigned on racist posts from an X account linked to him, the Wall Street Journal Reports.
Marko Elez resigned after the WSJ questioned the White House on his link with the accountWho was in his name but who has since deleted all his messages. The account published “You could not pay me to get married outside my ethnic” and “normalize Indian hatred” in September 2024. He also advocated a “Eugenic Immigration Policy” in the weeks preceding the inauguration of President Trump on January 20, 2025.
Elez had access to confidential federal payment files in the Treasury Department, cable reported Tuesday. He previously worked at X and SpaceX – the two companies belonging to Elon Musk, creator of Doge.
DOGE has sent young engineers like Elez through the federal government to implement mass restructuring plans, which raises security problems concerning their access to sensitive data.
