Among the criticisms that posted on X on Sunday after my show of Fox news was the one who made an argument that surprised me.
Do not pay attention to what President Trump says, this person wrote. Pay attention to what he does.
Now it’s a new idea. What the President of the United States says is unimportant and must be ignored. I doubt that this person applied the same standard to President Joe Biden.
And yet there is an interesting thought exercise here. Trump says a lot, especially since he speaks for a long time to journalists almost every day. Everything does not go up to the same level of seriousness. I say this as a person who interviewed him several times over the years, including our sitdown two weeks before the elections.
Interviewer Donald Trump: a last -minute blitz and a new closing message
Sometimes the president says things just to go up the press. Sometimes he says things that are not true, or are exaggerations or outings of their context.
But most often, he says the calm part aloud, signaling what he plans to do or insulting those with whom he does not agree, the kind of thing that journalists had to attribute to nameless aid , and he does it in front of the cameras.
At the top of the list, it would be Ukraine. Donald Trump is an intelligent guy, he knows that Russia has invaded his much smaller sovereign neighbor in order to wipe him on the map and put him under the control of Moscow. But he chose to blame Ukraine for having triggered war and insulting the Volodomyr Zelenskyy as a dictator when everyone knows that this label perfectly describes Vladimir Putin.

The most charitable interpretation is that Trump thinks that the only way to put an end to war is by an alliance with Putin for a regulation that could then be sold in Ukraine. (The United States voted with Russia yesterday against a United Nations resolution condemning the invasion.)
Of course, Trump has lived in Putin for a long time. During their Helsinki summit in the first mandate, the president accepted Putin denial that the Kremlin had hacked democratic emails, despite the evidence collected by his own intelligence agencies.
Trump has repeatedly repeated that Zelenskyy is responsible for the war that has just made his three -year birthday. Is this for American public or Moscow or kyiv (to put pressure on Ukraine)?

Journalists continue to ask Trump aid and republican supporters if they agree with the president’s Blame-Ukraine approach, and many have simply tried to divert the issue.
In my interview “Media Buzz” with Jason Miller, Trump’s long -standing confidant and Trump’s main counselor, he skillfully avoided the president.
“What President Trump has done,” he said, “he forced the sides at the table to stop murder and conclude a peace agreement. In recent years. Joe Biden remained there completely incompetent, doing nothing but feeding and financed more murders and more deaths.
When I tried, Miller said about his boss that “his heritage will really be as a peacemaker”.
I came back a third time, quoting the conservative radio host Mark Levin saying: “It’s sick. Ukraine did not start this war. What were they supposed to do? Return and play to death?
And I asked, “Why did President Trump blame Zelenskyy for the start of the war?”

Trump seems to adopt a “blame Ukraine” approach with regard to the country’s invasion by Russia. However, there is an important question: is there a strategy behind it, or is it simply sounded? (Kay Nietfeld / Picture Alliance / Curtis Means / Daily Mail / Bloomberg)
“Well, Zelenskyy has a lot of blame. I think it would also go to that. But again, you want to look in the past, I want to look to the future, which we do to save lives.”
Jason Miller was doing his job. A similar scenario took place in the other Sunday programs.
On “Fox News Sunday”, my colleague Shannon Bream asked the defense secretary Pete Hegseth if he was fair to say that Russia was not caused when she attacked Ukraine. He replied that he was “fair to say that it is a very complicated situation”.

Stressing that Trump wants to end the war, Hegseth said: “” You are good, you are bad; You are a dictator, you are not a dictator; You have invaded, you didn’t do it. “It is not useful.
Another part of my Sunday interview also highlighted the use of the tongue by Trump.
The president had told journalists: “I think we have to govern the District of Columbia, make it absolutely magnificent.”

The district has benefited from home regulations for 50 years, although the congress retains the power to overthrow its laws. The capital, like most cities, is struggling with crime, poverty and other urban ailments.
I asked Point Blank: was the president ready to end the rule at home at DC?
Miller said that mayor Muriel Bowser was doing a large part of the good job, adding: “I think that part of the reason why President Trump won is because he said he was going to clean our cities to Make them safe.

Trump’s words in this case therefore had a different meaning, such as a warning signal in the district.
Oh, I also wondered why Trump continues to refer to Canada as the 51st state when this will not happen.
“The president has a little fun with it. But he also makes very serious points.”

My online detractor was false. It is important to pay attention to the President’s words, especially for the media, which tend to react excessively to part of his language. The challenge is to decipher when he died serious, when he sends signals and when he is just lagging behind.
