India International Axar Patel is the last Captain IPL 2025 to be appointed as Delhi capitals makes a late announcement.
Axar Patel, the versatile of India, was appointed captain of Delhi Capitals as the new Indian season of Premier League said the team.
The 31 -year -old is the oldest player in the team, who joined in 2019. He scored 967 points and recovered 62 counters at an economic rate of 7.09 in 82 appearances with the capital.
Axar, who was appointed Vice-Capitaine International of India in January, took Delhi Captain de Rishabh Pant after his move to Lucknow Super Giants.
“It is my absolute honor for the captain of Delhi’s capital, and I am deeply grateful to our owners and our support employees to have put their faith in me,” Axar said in a statement on Friday.
“I grew up as a cricket and human player during my stay here in the capital, and I feel ready and confident to direct this side in the future.”
Axar also played a key role in the victory of the India Champions Trophy earlier this month, taking five counters at a rate of 4.35 and providing key contributions at the start of number five.
Capitals begin their IPL campaign at Visakhapatnam on March 24 against Lucknow.
Kolkata Knight Riders, the only other team that was still to announce their skipper, appointed Ajinkya Rahane as a new captain on March 3.
