South Africa Corbin Bosch is in trouble after having decided to withdraw from the Super League Pakistan (PSL) recently to participate in the Premier Indian League (IPL). The PCB has decided to bring legal action against the Allrounder.
Corbin Bosch was initially recovered by the PSL Peshawar Zalmi franchise in the draft of the PSL. However, he then signed with the IPL Mumbai Indian franchise, which automatically excluded it from the PSL 2025 season.
The situation has occurred because the two leagues will be played simultaneously with each other this year. The PSL, which was held in February-March each year, delayed its date this year due to the ICC champions trophy, organized by Pakistan during this period.

PCB takes legal action against Corbin Bosch
Corbin Bosch was registered by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category at the draft of the PSL which took place in January in Lahore. However, he replaced the Lizaad Willams injury in the Mumbai Indian team. The announcement was made by Mi on March 8.
Consequently, PSL franchises have taken up a legal action against Bosch because they fear that he cannot establish a precedent for players in the future. The franchises also discussed the idea of a pure and simple ban on these players during their discussion.
A legal opinion was sent by Pakistan Cricket Board and Corbin Bosch was invited to justify its actions. The board of directors also informed the versatile of future repercussions to play in the PSL.
“The legal opinion was served through his agent, and the player was invited to justify his actions to withdraw from his professional and contractual commitments,” said the PCB.
“The management of the PCB has also described the repercussions of his departure from the League and expects his answer within the stipulated time. The PCB will not make any other comments on the question,” added the press release.
Although the PCB questioned Bosch on a valid justification, it has not revealed any specific period of time in which the Allrounder must respond. It remains to be seen how he answers and manages the situation of things.
Why was the PSL window moved?
PSL 2025 will take place from April 11 to May 18, while IPL 2025 will be held from March 22 to May 25. The PCB had moved the PSL window not only for the Champions Trophy, but also to ensure the availability of foreign players.
In the previous window, the PSL had to compete with various T20 leagues like SA20, BPL and ILT20 for the availability of foreign players. The PSL project was organized after the IPL auction just to ensure the availability of players abroad.
Consequently, the League managed to attract some of the big names in world cricket like David Warner, Rassie Van Der Dussen, Kane Williamson, Mark Chapman and Daryl Mitchell.

The IPL 2025 will start on March 22 with the reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders confronted with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
The Mumbai Indians will open his campaign against Chennai Super Kings in Chepauk on March 23. Corbin Bosch was signed by MI for its base price of 75 Lakhs INR and will be available for the whole season.
