Punta Cana, Dominican Republic – Parents of a disappeared spring breaker from the University of Pittsburgh asked the Dominican police a declaration of death almost two weeks after having disappeared from a five -star seaside resort in the seaside town of Punta Cana, telling the authorities that they accept the history of the only public witness.
Subbarayudu and SreEdevi Konanki do not dispute the story of Joshua Riibe, a 22 -year -old man from Iowa and a spring breaking colleague who would be the last person who saw their daughter alive, according to a letter they sent to the Dominican police on Monday. His father had already asked the police to investigate all the possibilities.
Sudiksha Konanki, 20, disappeared on March 6 after she went to the beach with seven other people around 4:15 am, according to a surveillance video. Most of her group was seen coming back around 6 a.m., leaving her alone with Riibe, although he returned without his hours later.
Konanki’s family did not immediately respond to a request for comments on the letter, which was obtained by Fox News.

On Monday, his lawyers deposited a brief from Habeas Corpus, contesting his detention de facto in the country. He was locked in the Riu Republica Resort since Konanki disappeared. They both stayed there for holidays on spring holidays when they met.
RIIBE is not accused of a crime, but the authorities confiscated its passport while investigating its version of events.
An audience on the Habeas petition is expected to take place on Tuesday afternoon, sources said, but the moment could change.
