From a stranger’s point of view, I fully understand how electric unicycles can seem intimidating to someone who has never traveled one. How can the devil someone balance on a single wheel? It only took me 20 minutes to learn, using a handrail, and I went home. If I can do it, almost anyone can. It’s just a matter of your body that adapts to something new.
The V13 Challenger’s Inmotion is far from being an ideal choice for beginners. Although I heard stories of people who learn to get on one, he measures almost three feet high and weighs 110 pounds. In addition, it has a top speed of 56 MPH. However, it is these features that make him attractive for experienced cyclists. When you drive as quickly, you want as much apparatus between your legs as possible, which is where the height and the width count. Although the weight is not ideal for transport, it is excellent to keep the wheel in the ground.
Yes, the V13 requires both a physical and financial commitment, given its price of $ 1,899. If you are looking for an excellent EUC which rewards veterans who can drive vehicles like this, the V13 is worth it.
Design and features
The V13 Challenger offers optimized weight distribution and an elegant factor. The V13 is also designed to be one of the safest wheels on the market, with a robust and innovative battery management system and redundant sensors to prevent the wheel. The large 22 -inch hybrid tire, combined with an aerial suspension, absorbs bumps, while the weight of 110 pounds of the wheel ensures stability and keeps it on the ground. It is also relatively large.
V13 is powered by a 3,024Wh 126 Volts Battery and driven by an engine of 10,000 watts (300 Nm of torque), reaching a top speed of 56 MPH. The inmotion invoices between 4 and 6 hours using its 5 -amp loader. The vehicle has an estimated movement range of 88 miles, which varies depending on the speed, the size of the rider, the land, wind conditions and other variables. The V13 could easily exceed the top speed, but this cap is in place to avoid wheel cuts. This backup ensures that if a rider is continuously trying to speed up, the wheel does not throw them away, it therefore remains within its limits to maintain the movement forward and balance.
However, additional speed limits can be defined in the application and directly on the unit.
Like other Inmotion products, the V13 connects via Bluetooth with the iOS / Android application for extensive functionalities and performance monitoring. Statistics in the application provide detailed information to monitor your performance, battery status, system health, temperatures and user habits.
As a safety precaution, the wheel does not reach 56 MPH directly from the box – Cyclists must first agree to unlock top speed via the application. Once the adjustment speed has been reached, the wheel will tilt back and emit a beep to alert the rider.
The V13 also has a small 2.4 -inch LCD screen at the head of the unit, allowing cyclists to check their current speed, battery level and adjust the settings without needing their phone. One of my other favorite features is to define an access code to the power supply on the wheel – perfect to leave it in the stroller section during the output. This guarantees that no one can turn it on without authorization.
The protective cage around the front and the rear helps protect the unit from falls and impacts. The front is also doubled the rest stand when not used. A spare support is available which allows the unit to bow on its back. I also used the cage to lift the unit in and get out of the car and mount the occasional staircase.
The low -cost pads on each side of the wheel are robust and spacious, offering good grip and comfortably welcoming my size 12 shoes.
The V13 includes a Halo light during the day which remains on the move, a powerful lighthouse of 18 watts for low light conditions and a rear brake fire for additional visibility.
Finally, the V13 has two loading ports and type A and type C ports for the load of mobile devices.
Performance
So how do you drive a vehicle like the V13? Like all euc, it remains surprisingly standing simply: the wheel manages the front and back balance, while the rider controls the left and the right. The movement of your weight on your toes propels the unit forward while leaning backwards on your heels slows it down or turns backwards. It’s like cycling; Once your body adapts to mechanics, you will wonder why you have not learned earlier (on it, or the other).
I recorded more than 1,300 miles on the V13 – and counted. Despite other options at my disposal, the V13 Inmotion remains one of my favorite wheels for daily use (as long as I do not have to wear it). I did it on a trip to Minnesota, South Carolina, Chicago and New York. One of the reasons why I like to bring it during my trips is that it does not take up much space in a SUV (compared to a bicycle, which is even larger). In addition, no matter where I am, it offers ample power, a speed and a tire large enough to manage most roads and trails.
As a biggest rider, I appreciate the feeling of stability and safety that a wheel provides this size. However, I should note that this wheel looks like a high -speed rocket, although it is stable and straight like an arrow. Leaning in the turns takes efforts when it gets used to the wheel for the first time, but it becomes fluid after a while and trains.
At the time of writing this, my personal top speed on the V13 is 48 MPH – if only I had more room to push further.

The V13 has a handful of cart, which facilitates the unit procedure. Overall, it is solidly constructed, but over time, I found that the handle screws would loosen and had to be tightened. It is a minor problem that a little loctite can easily solve, but it is worth mentioning.
Another consideration is the weight of the wheel, which can be a little heavy for smaller / lighter runners to maneuver comfortably. In addition, the suspension requires periodic controls because it tends to lose air pressure over time. It would have been fine if you could check the pressure without connecting the pump provided. As with any vehicle, however, regular maintenance will help keep it at its best.

When it comes to strengthening quality, performance, speed and safety, V13 undeniably deserves praise. Personally, I really like this wheel – it is a fantastic option for the greatest runners who seek to enter the game. It effortlessly manages the bumpy streets, rough roads and grassy hills, offering smooth and stable driving.
I mounted it entirely equipped with a backpack which put me on the suggested weight limit of 265 pounds, and the V13 did not even start. With a lot of power to lose, this wheel is a robust and reliable choice for those who need strength and capacity in their driving.
