A second man was arrested in the context of alleged criminal fire attacks targeting the properties linked to Prime Minister Keir Starmer, metropolitan police announced.
The arrest of the 26 -year -old suspect at Luton airport follows charges against Roman Lavrynovych, a Ukrainian national, this week, after three fires, including one at the family home in Starmer.
Police against terrorism conducted the investigation. Lavrynovych, 21, was accused of three criminal fire leaders intention of endangering life. The second suspect, which the investigators have not appointed and must still be charged, was arrested for similar reasons, police said.
“The 26 -year -old was arrested around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at London Luton airport, suspected of conspiracy to commit a criminal fire with the intention of endangering life,” police said in a statement.
“The arrest was carried out by officers to combat terrorism from the special operations unit in the eastern region. The man was placed in police custody in London. ”

In addition to the fire of the starmer family house in the city of Kentish, in northern London – which he would have rented since his entry into Downing Street last year – another property formerly linked to the Prime Minister of Islington also caught fire, just like a car which he formerly owned in the same street as the family house, all in the space of a week.
During a hearing at the Westminster Magistrate Court on Friday, Lavrynovych was arrested before an audience at former Bailey on June 6. He was arrested Tuesday for the first time.
His legal team did not ask for a deposit.
Prosecutor Sarah Przybylska told court that his alleged offense was currently “unexplained”.
Przybylska said Lavrynovych had denied a criminal fire when he was questioned under caution. She allegedly alleged that he had used “accelerators” to trigger fires.
Lavrynovych spoke only to confirm his identity and was translated for him by a Ukrainian interpreter.
