The boss of Chelsea, Enzo Maresca, admits that his teams are in a difficult place but is convinced that his team can get out of their crisis.
The blues came across a 3-1 defeat against Manchester City on Saturday evening, the London Club falling in sixth row of the process.
It was their fifth campaign defeat, the same amount as Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Brighton.
Noni Madueke put visitors early after an error by Abdukodir Khusanov, but the hosts retaliated, with goals from Josko Gvardiol, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.
Maresca thought about the match, admitting that he was frustrated by the missed chances.
He said, “The game started very well for us. We scored the first and could have scored the second goal two or three times. The game would have changed completely. We missed.
“The team was there but in the last minutes, we conceded for 1-1. The second goal changed the game. Robert is the first [to admit] He knows he has to do better. Work hard every day [is the way to improve]. We try to have conversations with everyone.

“We are progressing. We are better one or two months ago. These moments will make us better.
“We marked the first and could have made the second, then against this team and these players, the game is still open. We conceded at the end of the first half, then the second half was probably 50/50.
“When you concede at the end of the first half, and the best way is to avoid it. Probably for me, the game is different if we marked the second.
“We must be better but also play as we play it, we marked the first and could have made the second. If we could mark it, the game could have been very different for us. »»
Maresca added that he knows that City has quality players who can punish any opposition in the world.
And he defender of defender Robert Sanchez after being taken in No Man’s Land for the second in the city.
“They have players who, at any time, can change the game.
“In my opinion, we are better than one to two months ago.
“Robert [Sanchez] is the first consciousness of the error. I think the second goal has changed the mood.
“We are in a moment – game after the game, it’s a chance for us to learn.”
