Amazon is ending its Try Before You Buy Prime program at the end of January. This decision, first reported by The informationwas announced with a notice at the top of the Prime Try Before You Buy page, which goes into effect on January 31. The service has been available to members since 2018, when it first launched as Prime Wardrobe. With it, you can choose up to six items to try on and return anything you don’t want for free within a week. You’ll only be charged for the items you choose to keep, and you’ll be able to choose from a selection of clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories.
In a statement to CNBCAn Amazon spokesperson said: “Given the combination of try-before-you-buy that only scales to a limited number of items and customers increasingly using our new data-based features AI such as Virtual Try-On, Personalized Size Recommendations, Review Highlights, and Enhanced Size Charts. To make sure they find the right solution, we’re phasing out the Try Before You Buy option, starting January 31, 2025.” If you’re still using this service, you’d better get these latest orders in quickly.
