Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says Wednesday’s north London derby against Arsenal is “as important as ever” as he seeks a rare away victory in the match.
Spurs have won just one of their last 31 Premier League away games against Arsenal, the most recent coming in November 2010.
Both teams have been plagued by injuries of late, with Tottenham needing extra time this weekend to beat non-league side Tamworth.
Former Celtic boss Postecoglou says this week’s game is the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

He said: “I felt it was intense as soon as I arrived, but at the same time I never tried to be disingenuous about this sort of thing and say ‘this means everything to me’ even though I literally just arrived.
“But you understand the context of the game and what it means for the club, what it means for the fans and also what it means for our season.
“From that point of view, from the first time we played them, I was well aware of it. Much like me in Glasgow, you are well aware of what this means, well aware of the ramifications – both positive and negative.
“I was very active from the first game and this year is as important as ever, especially for us and our season.
“We need to start winning games in the league and there is no better place to start.”
Spurs last won in the league before Christmas and have won just three of their last 13 matches in all competitions. Their injury problems have seen Timo Werner added to the list, but Richarlison is available to face Arsenal – who have their own problems.
“With the position we are in right now in the league, whatever the turning points, we need to start winning games and moving up the ladder,” Postecoglou said.
“Although it will be a huge challenge for us tomorrow night, there is an opportunity for us to do it.”
