George RR Martin does not hesitate to share his reflections on the adaptations of his work. The author has already shared his dissatisfaction with “House of the Dragon” and the modifications made to the source material – in particular the blood sequence and cheese and the erasure of a book character with great repercussions for the greater history .
But you know which spectacle Martin Addy has excitement? “A knight of the seven kingdoms.” The next spin-off of “Game of Thrones” is based on the novels of “Tales of Dunk and Egg” by Martin, which tell the story of Ser Duncan “Dunk” The Tall, A Hedge Knight, and Son Écuyer, Egg (which is revealed to be Prince Aegon Targaryen). Instead, the spectacle is “a character’s piece, and its accent is put on duty and honor, on chivalry and all that it means”.
This is excellent news and praise from Martin, especially after his problems with “House of the Dragon” (problems shared by many fans and criticisms).
Of course, the author has also taken the opportunity to update readers on his progress on “Winter Winds”. Or, more specifically, its lack of progress on “winter winds”, a book that develops in anticipation, but decreases the probability of finishing each passing month.
Remember winter winds?
“The Winds of Winter” has gone from a tangible promise to a meme. Just think about how many other ridiculous projects have materialized during the 14 (!!) years since Martin’s last book in the series. We had eight seasons of “Game of Thrones” and two seasons of a prequelle spin-off. Zack Snyder has in fact been able to release his cup of “Justice League”. And during all this time, we still do not have the murmur of a possible release date for “The Winds of Winter” – who, do you think, is not even supposed to be the last book in the sprawling series of Martin. At this stage, the author should stop looking for incredibly prolific writers like Stephen King for advice on the treatment of the writer, and consult instead of how authors like Eiichiro Oda have always published new work for several decades Without many breaks (and without many divers in quality).
