Keke Palmer and Issa Rae Talk ‘One of Them’ and Working With SZA
During the session, Issa Rae and Keke Palmer explained the storyline of “One Of Them Days”. According to the actors, the film was inspired by the experiences of a friend of Syreeta Singleton. Additionally, the film focuses largely on the effects of gentrification. But focuses on two friends – played by Keke Palmer and SZA – who are “trying to make ends meet.”
While speaking, Palmer reflected on his chemistry with SZA and how that translated on screen.
“I think maybe we naturally have a similar vibe. » Palmer explained. “We first met in person on SNL [Saturday Night Live]…after that, we met on the film and…we just had natural chemistry. I can’t even explain this.
The filmmakers talk about friendship and reflect on being madly in love
When it comes to off-screen relationships, Palmer shared that her “craziest” moment when it came to holding down a friend was joining her partner and her partner’s mother. Rae, for her part, said she pretended to be a doctor to give a friend’s partner a little medical scare.
