During match 18 of SA20 2025 clash between Durban Super Giants And Paarl Royals, Heinrich Klaasen showed his wicketkeeping skills to dismiss Joe Racine for a golden duck.
Heinrich Klaasen’s brilliant reflex sends Joe Root packing
On the fifth ball of the first over, Chris Woakes bowled a back-of-length delivery outside off which formed late, tempting Root into an uncertain shot. The English striker, unable to resist the movement, clearly outpaced him, but Klaasen’s lightning-fast reflexes ensured the breakthrough. Positioned slightly to his right, Klaasen made an exceptional catch in front of his face, demonstrating exceptional hand-eye coordination and athleticism. The dismissal was crucial for the Super Giants as Root’s early departure derailed the Royals’ plans for a steady start in the race. Woakes’ precision, combined with Klaasen’s sharp gloving, created the perfect opening. Klaasen’s efforts not only boosted his team’s morale but also set the tone for the Super Giants’ bowling dominance.
