Although it has been almost 25 years that the successful television program of the 90s “Boy Meets World” ended, there seems to be a little tension between some of its stars.
During a recent Episode of “Pod Meets World” Podcast, hosts and former Co-Stars Danielle Fishel, Ryder Strong and Will Friedle welcomed the guest Maitland Ward (who has portrayed Rachel Mcquire in recent seasons) to discuss their shared experiences. While the conversation was light for the first half of the 90-minute episode, things took a clumsy turn when Fishel (who portrayed Topanga Lawrence in the series) asked Ward: “Do you hate yourself?”
“No, I don’t hate you,” said Ward, who has since found success as an adult movie star. “I think you hate me because you don’t talk to me about” Girl Meets World “(Disney Channel’s spin-off of” Boy Meets World “) and it was hurtful.”

“You had an attitude on this subject. There was beef between us, and I did not understand it,” she added later. “I didn’t know if you thought I was trying to steal attention … I was really confused why we wouldn’t be good.”
Fishel admitted that “Girl Meets World” – in which she played alongside Ben Savage (who played her longtime love, Cory Matthews, in “Boy Meets World”), Sabrina Carpenter and Rowan Blanchard – was a ” Very difficult set “to be sure.
“Let’s say this in this way, the memories we have of the fun whole of” Boy Meets World “were not the memories of the fun whole of” Girl Meets World “,” she said. “I went by expecting myself to be, and that was not the case. It was a rather tumultuous place. I felt very ostracized. I felt very criticized. I felt a lot of different things on This set … I’m sorry I thought I had something personally against you.
“You don’t like the fact that I got a lot of attention at that time and that I seemed in my own space and that I draw this attention,” said Ward.

Ward also mentioned the fact that Fishel apparently did not make him a friend on Facebook years ago.
In 2013, Ward sent a message to Fishel Facebook but never received an answer. Fishel said that she had rarely used Facebook and had not seen the message until 2022 after Friedle had connected with Ward about the appearance on their podcast. Fishel said that she had asked Friedle to obtain the Ward number so that she could apologize directly to her.
“You brought back to Will:” No, except the podcast “” and later added that Ward said that “would make statistics vibrate”.
Ward said she thought Fishel’s request was “fallacious”.

It was not the end of their heated back and forth.
Fishel asked Ward why she had talked negatively about distribution in the past, to which Ward replied: “Do you try to accuse me of using you, or are you trying to accuse me of something?”
“I think there is also a ditch, because you hate Ben (Savage) and you hate (creator) Michael (Jacobs),” she added.
“Well is one of the most important people I have ever met in my life, and I can’t stand that he does not speak to us,” said Friedle. “And that’s what it is: he won’t talk to us,” he said. “I can show you in the past three years, literally, messages and in the midst of a conversation with Ben, he made me bailiff. Well absolutely woke up one day and said:” I do not want will in my life “and I never said to myself why.”
When Fishel asked Ward if she regularly listened to their podcast, she said: “No”, but said it focuses on many “negative things”.

“In the same way that you have written your book on your experiences does not mean that they are negative,” said Fishel, who referred to Ward’s memories in 2022. “These are only experiences. So you, you Do not regularly listen to the podcast, but your global opinion is that we are negative about Michael and Ben and the program. ”
“Let’s be honest about it. You are trying to go to my house now to get the notes because you know people will be interested. I just wanted to remember good times,” Ward said.
“I am not I who wanted to make notes … That’s what you asked,” replied Fishel.
After saying goodbye, Fishel said Ward’s decision to come to the Podcast seemed “an opportunity for her to put pressure on conflicts”.

“Likewise in the way she decided when” Girl Meets World “and everything that was in the press, that it was an opportunity for her to make a name for herself in the cosplay game and in role -playing, She had the impression that it was an opportunity for her to put pressure on conflicts, which I am simply not your daughter to do so, “said Fishel about the stormy exchange. “And she thought it was dishonest for me to extend her hand. I think that doing it for statistics is dishonest.”
The representatives of Ward and Fishel did not immediately respond to the request for comments from Fox News Digital.
