From a distance, the most shocking moment of the Star Wars following trilogy was the sudden death of the hero of the original trilogy Luke Skywalker The last Jedi. This film depicts this as a noble sacrifice; Luke abandons his life (like Obi-Wan Kenobi in front of him) to help Rey, Leia and the rest of the resistance escape the first order. However, the films clearly indicate that the first order was going to be self-destruction as soon as possible, which undoubtedly makes Luke Skywalker’s sacrifice completely devoid of meaning.
The first order was sentenced

For the most part, the Star Wars suites have not broken much the mold of the original trilogy. Resistance, of course, was supposed to be similar to the rebels, to Leia being their leader. The first order is supposed to be similar to the Empire, but they are much worse than their ancestors that, without resistance, Luke Skywalker would always be alive.
The reason is that the first order is island and self -destructive, unlike the Empire. In A new hopeWe see Dark Vader Force chokes a colleague, but he stops doing so at the command of Grand Moff Tarkin. The message was clear: this is an organization with colorful characters, but the excesses of characters like Vader are controlled by the same spanning bureaucracy in galaxy that the rebels had so much trouble defeating.
Now the first -order Vader was Kylo Ren, just like the resistance Luke Skywalker was Rey. But we consider Reno as a mainly uncontrolled rage ball. This is the kind of guy who is starting to destroy the property of the business whenever he has a silent crisis. If The Awakens force We have learned anything about Kylo Ren is that it is only a bad day to accidentally destroy the ship that he is by swinging his lightsaber as an angry child.
Luke Skywalker

But what is this Kylo Renho ren’s character trait with the incompetence of the first order and the potential survival of Luke Skywalker? Ren, quite simply, is not an aberrant value in this organization. Instead, he is just the only angry fascist with the powers of a space sorcerer. And it is part of an organization which was intended to implode alone without the resistance drawing a single blow, but the interference of the good guys was killed countless people, including the last Jedi master of the Galaxy.
This inevitable self -destruction is partly due to the fact that the first order is a military organization which follows the rules of Sith. Basically, they reward those who kill their masters. Kylo Ren, for example, kills Snoke and instantly assumes the title of supreme chief. Left to their own devices, the members of the first order would continue to kill their leaders until the best died or run away, leaving a sterilized empire that could never threaten or Luke Skywalker.
In addition, the first order was intended to implose because they preferred destruction to conquer, as evidenced by Awakens force Moment when these bad guys destroy an entire stars system, including the capital of the New Republic. The Empire was wise enough to use the death star as a tool to force obedience, but Kylo Ren and Company just want to burn planets in an orgy of destruction. In short, the first order was Never Going within the reach of the Empire, and Luke Skywalker would have lived if these bad guys were simply authorized to self-defuse.

Do not get me wrong: the first order is probably one of the coolest things about the deeply defective Star Wars suite Wars trilogy. However, these bad guys are so bad caricatured that it is impossible to take them seriously, and it is clear that they would have collapsed by themselves, in particular with Palpatine doing such a crappy of the shadows. And if the first order had been allowed to go out alone, just think: the rebellious hero Luke Skywalker would still be alive.
Of course, it would be the bitter and grumpy Luke. Since we are not that broken that he died.
