Gamescom Latam Big Festival announced the nominees for the best independent games created by Brazilian game developers.
With 10 games on the list for the best category of Brazilian game, the Brazilian titles which will compete for the first prize in the region were announced for the awards ceremony during the second annual event of Gamescom Latam Big Festival, which will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, from May 1 to 4, 2025.
Among the selected projects are Cyberwar: Neon City, Deathbound, DEDEPORS ‘Club and Ironhive, titles that have already participated in the event at the Panorama Brasil Showcase, but which were selected in 2025 to compete in the National Prize category.

The winner will be announced on May 2 on the Latam Stage stage, during the event award ceremony.
Gamescom Latam has announced even more companies that will participate in the event this year. Level Infinite, which was already present in 2023 and 2024, once again confirmed its participation. As one of the main game publishers with titles such as Honor of Kings, PUBG Mobile, Warhammer 40K and Dune: Awakening, the company promises news for fans and visitors to the event.
Another company that returns to the event this year is gravity. With games to try last year, the South Korean company focused on the development of MMORPGS. This year, fans will be able to find the Gunbound and Ragnarök games in Latin America.
Gamescom Latam 2025 announced that the main director of Pokémon Go, Michael Steranka de Niantic, will attend the event and will offer an overview of the virtual reality game of Niantic, Pokemon Go. He will also talk about Pokémon Go as “game for always “and the evolution of augmented reality games.
This year, Gamescom Latam will take place in Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo, a place that is twice as large as the last event, which has attracted more than 100,000 people.
The event is organized jointly by Koelnmesse, Omelete Company, Big Festival and Game, the German Association of the Gaming Industry.
