Pakistan was placed on alert raised following intelligence reports warning against a potential terrorist attack during the ICC 2025 champions trophy. Pakistan was unable to organize international matches for more than a decade after the 2009 terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team. However, in recent years, the PCB has successfully organized series with the best teams.
