Jacob Ramsey sealed the 71st minute agreement on what was a comfortable afternoon for villa.
But their trip will be much more difficult when they face Crystal Palace in the Final Four, with a place in the final to win.
All the discussions were not surprising about Rashford after his performance, but Emery was very measured in his assessment of the Landester United Loreee.
Speaking after the match, he said: “First, his commitment to work and adapt quickly is very important. He does it.
“He improved, but today was a step forward in his adaptation and helped us. It’s time for the team, players, supporters and this year, we are starting now in April to be motivated and excited.

“We have a lot of objectives to face. The FA Cup is very important and now we are in the semi-finals. This is very important for supporters. We are happy, but we have to stay calm and prepare for the game against Brighton.
“He plays with the idea and plan that we do with him. He played more as an addicted to the left side and the attacker. Today, we have decided to play it as an attacker to get his qualities so that he can feel confident. The first half, not completely, but the second half, he felt better with brand goals.
“There is still work to do and adaptation to meet, teammates and himself. Today, I think it was a step forward. He came here in the past two months not training in a coherent way and not feeling very fit in the first games with us. After playing more and with the national team, it helped him feel better. Today was confirmation of its progress with us. ”
Rashford himself was delighted to be able to put a splint and ask all the questions about his quality in bed.
He added: “It’s a great feeling, I have the impression of becoming more fit and playing better football since I am here. It’s always nice for an attacker to get a goal, so I hope it continues.
“We have to take a match at a time and give it 100% on the field and see where it leads us. We are very ambitious.
“Step by step. I think I can still become more fit. I missed a lot of football before joining them. My body feels good and I appreciate my football for the moment.”
