Max Scherzer’s beginnings in Toronto Blue Jays ended earlier than many people probably planned.
The triple laureate of the Cy Young Award launched 45 throws before an apparent injury to the thumb forced him to leave the match after only three rounds.
The Blue Jays later said that Scherzer was dealing with good pain LAT.

The eight time All-Star MLB seemed to be frustrated in Toronto’s canoe, probably after learning that he would not take the mound to start the fourth round.
After the match, Scherzer shared his conviction that the Bon LAT’s problem was linked to his current thumb problem. On Wednesday, Jays manager John Schneider told journalists Scherzer “was still going in the right direction”.

Scherzer has faced a certain discomfort in his thumb since training in the spring. On Saturday, he suggested that the persistent problem forced his body to overcompensate.

He hinted that passing the third round of the match against the Baltimore Orioles could have caused more problems.
“After this third round, I could just say that we were imminent,” said Scherzer. “If you pass through it and continue to sink while the arm is tired, it will go there.”
Scherzer also admitted that he did not feel completely comfortable when he threw the enclosure of the lifts before the match on Saturday.
“Today, I warmed myself, I could feel that my lat was tight.

Scherzer has contributed to many injuries throughout his career.
He launched for the Texas Rangers last season, but started the injured list last year when he recovered from back surgery. His beginnings in 2024 were still delayed by a nervous question. Scherzer made nine departures last season.

Scherzer granted three strokes and a pair of points deserved before leaving the match on Saturday. The Blue Jays lost 9-5. The last match in the four game series is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at the Rogers Center.
