Oscar Piastri defeated Lando Norris in a one-two McLaren while dominating the Chinese Grand Prix with Lewis Hamilton ending sixth in his second race for Ferrari.
Pole-Sitter Piastri never looked to abandon the victory, the third in his F1 career, and made the perfect answer after having shot last weekend at his home event in Melbourne.
Norris has undergone a braking problem in the closing towers, but kept the second of George Russell, who made consecutive podiums to start the season in third.
Max Verstappen exceeded Charles Leclerc for fourth row in a great battle in the last stages of the Grand Prix to limit the damage and is eight points behind Norris in the pilot championship.
Hamilton finished in a sixth lonely because he could not run the race at two stops compared to other fronts in a single stop.
Having won the sprint on Saturday, Hamilton was to face the best places, but rarely showed an excellent pace and was invited to leave Leclerc until the start of the race
The Ferrari duo contacted the first round and Leclerc damaged its front wing, but that did not affect its pace.
Esteban Ocon scored his first points for Haas in seventh, ahead of Kimi Antonelli from Mercedes and Alex Albon de Williams in ninth.
British adolescent Oliver Bearman has charged impressively on the field in the second half of the race on an alternative strategy to take the final point in 10th.
