Rapper’s lawyers want the video to be excluded from his next trial
The building where the alleged assault incident was recorded, the Intercontinental hotel, would have closed its doors in the Los Angeles region where it took place.
There is no other unsuccessful copy of the recording, according to Tmz. Now Diddy’s team has revealed that she was planning to submit a request to exclude the video of her next trial in May.
Although Diddy was not prosecuted for his actions in the viral video clip, prosecutors would have wanted to present themselves as proof before the alleged violent behavior of the rapper.
It should also be noted that the video may never be shown in court because of its modification considerably and that a judge would normally insist to see raw and unchanged images as proof.

Diddy described the coup de cassie as a “domestic dispute”

In November 2024, the lawyers of Diddy filed legal documents in which they tried to explain some of the violent acts represented in the video.
In a scene, Diddy was hanging out Cassie in the corridor in their hotel room after trying to leave via the elevator.
Surprisingly, Diddy said he had not “dragged” Cassie in the corridor, contrary to what had been shown in the video.
A different scene from the video has also shown a half -naked Diddy by launching a vase through the room, Cassie being probably the planned target. The rapper also denied this and said that he had only launched the content of the vase in Cassie.
Diddy said that the incident did not align with the federal allegations of sex traffic prosecutors or forced sex.
