Ruben Amorim told André Onana “to forget the past” and called for support while Manchester United goalkeeper put recent mistakes behind him.
Onana has had a mixed fortune since his appearance as a replacement by David de Gea in 2023 from Inter Milan.
The 28 -year -old sometimes showed overview of the brilliance displayed during the inter -defeat of the Inter in the Champions League in 2023 against Manchester City, which helped United to pay 47 million pounds sterling for his services.
But his stay at the Red Devils was also spoiled by a series of rudimentary errors, including the most recent to come during the 3-2 victory of United on Ipswich in the middle of the week when a mixture with Patrick Dorgu allowed Jaden Philogen to score.

The question marks remain on the quality and consistency of the number one United States, but his manager came to his defense by calling for support for the shotstopper.
“There have been difficult times,” said Amorim. “But this season he [Onana] made superb backups that save our team.
“I think that if you look at our team, you can find a lot of players with this problem, so I think we are not playing as well as a team and sometimes some players have problems.
“We just have to support Andre, as we support all the players and prepare the next game. Forget the past and prepare the future. »»
Onana will have another chance to silence criticism when United Anime Fulham in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Sunday, with the goalkeeper Altay Bayindir and the third choice Tom Heaton still injured.
The Red Devils are competition holders after beating Manchester City 2-1 in last year’s final in Wembley.
