PCB inflicts massive fines on Pakistani players
According to a SAMAA TV report, the PCB has inflicted strong fines on the national cricket players in Pakistan for not having followed the directives correctly and violating the rules and regulations of the Council.
It is believed that a total of 3.3 million PKRs was inflicted on players from the Multan test against England on the outside series against South Africa later in the year.
Aamer Jamal faced the most serious punishment because he was sentenced to a fine of 1.4 million PKRs for writing “804” on his ceiling during a test match. Players like Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafiques were sentenced to a fine of 5.00,000 PKR to have returned to the hotel late during the Pakistan white -up visit to Australia.
During the visit to South Africa, Sofiyan Muqeem, the wrist launcher of the left arm, the quick launcher Abbas Afridi, and the Usman Khan striker returned two minutes late at the hotel at night. Consequently, these players were sentenced to a fine of $ 200 each.
However, the fine of 200 dollars was returned to these players as a reward for the emphatic victory of the ODI series of Pakistan when they cleaned the South Africa 3-0 hosts in an amazing result.

Why was Aamer Jamal sentenced to a fine so strongly?
Aamer Jamal would have written “804” on his test ceiling. The number is enormous because it is linked to the legendary Pakistani Allrounder and to the politician now shifted Imran Khan.
Imran is also a former Prime Minister of the country but is in prison now. Jamal would have written this number on his test ceiling to show his solidarity towards him. However, the PCB inflicted on it to have violated the directives which involve avoiding political, religious or racial declarations on the ground.
It is believed that Aimer Jamal was not selected from the team of Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025 because of this particular reason, because the board of directors is not satisfied with its behavior and has a zero tolerance policy towards such actions.
Difficult times for Pakistani cricket
Cricket Pakistan faces many problems currently outside their cricket team that does not work well on their field. Constant changes in the administration and team captains have affected team performance in recent years.
Recently, they withdrew from the first round of their champions trophy campaign at home after losing their first two games against New Zealand and India. They finished last in their group behind India, New Zealand and Bangladesh.
They faced many criticisms after being eliminated from the first round of the Champions Trophy. The players, alongside the PCB, were targeted for such a drop in their cricket ecosystem.
