AIO supports the decoding for Dolby Atmos and DTS: X, with Virtual DTS: X, designed to create a feeling of expansion for even stereo soundtracks via the processing of digital signal (DSP). All the virtualized 3D effects were at best minimal in my tests, but even the basic support for the two main audio formats is a victory at this price.
Simple Sonics
The rapid configuration of the AIO and the simple operation make it a breeze to integrate into your TV room. You will first want to download the Vizio Controller app displayed in the quick start menu. Then connect the HDMI cable powered and supplied between the bar and the HDMI Arc port of your TV, wait for the tone to add the application bar and you should be in business. With a single input and a single cable (as well as a USB port that can read WAV files), there are few possibilities of error. A drawback of the minimalist approach is that the AIO will not connect to older televisions with a lonely optical outing.
Without distance, Vizio’s application takes heavy work. You will find two basic (and very similar) sound modes in music and the film, the latter which adds a little more Zhuzh. The tapping of the personalized tab allows basic equalization adjustments, while effects such as night mode and virtual: X are accessible under advanced audio. Your TV remote control should automatically control volume and power, although some older televisions may require activating the “CEC” in the TV settings. Some more recent Vizio televisions allow you to directly access the Vizio sound bar settings from the TV menu and / or reach the bar under the TV with the QuickFit of Vizio mounting system.

The AIO offers a streaming on Bluetooth 5.3, accessible by pressing the Bluetooth symbol in the application or on the bar itself, then selecting it in the Bluetooth settings of your phone. Once paired, you can wake up the bar to broadcast the audio passing from the TV input to Bluetooth in the application. It is practical because the lack of Wi-Fi support for AIO leaves aside more messy streaming options like Spotify Connect or Apple Airplay.
Big Bang
Regarding sound performance, AIO is packing a wallop. I was not prepared for the quantity of dynamism and general punch that it brings to the table for its size, especially during the action scenes or the dramatic moments where the sound tension folds. The bass is sound for a separate subwoofer system. High recording effects such as strings and horns become strong and full, instantly adding more severity and verve to intense moments than your TV alone. All this made me estimate the cost of AIO between $ 200 and $ 250 before checking the price.
