Hearn blames some of Williams’ less impressive performance in not having the ideal preparation. He was “indifferent” in the camp and not entirely “mentally” ready. His direct elimination defeat of Hamzah Sheeraz last year could be what Hearn is talking about. In this fight, the ammunition hurt Sheeraz early but failed to kill him. Losing against a job of hyp like Sheeraz was disappointing because it was a very winning fight if ammunition had set foot on the accelerator.

Volny, 35, can strike and he has eliminated his last three opponents. If Williams cannot get him out of there, he could risk being arrested for the second time. This would spoil Hearn’s plans to make him a title stroke, of course, and he could have to rethink his career goals for him.
