The promoter Eddie Hearn wants to position Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams for a title drawn on the average weight, but he must win his headliner against Patrice Volny this Saturday, March 15. Williams (17-1, 12 KB) and Volny (19-1, 13 KB) meet in the main event of 12 towers of the Royal Caribe in Orlando, Florida. The event will be presented live on Dazn.

Hearn blames some of Williams’ less impressive performance in not having the ideal preparation. He was “indifferent” in the camp and not entirely “mentally” ready. His direct elimination defeat of Hamzah Sheeraz last year could be what Hearn is talking about. In this fight, the ammunition hurt Sheeraz early but failed to kill him. Losing against a job of hyp like Sheeraz was disappointing because it was a very winning fight if ammunition had set foot on the accelerator.
Hearn vision
Volny, 35, can strike and he has eliminated his last three opponents. If Williams cannot get him out of there, he could risk being arrested for the second time. This would spoil Hearn’s plans to make him a title stroke, of course, and he could have to rethink his career goals for him.
“The problems of ammunition in the past were not that it was not good enough, it was that his preparation was not good enough. Sometimes it was not 100%mentally mentally. Sometimes his camps were a little indifferent, “Eddie Hearn told Dazn boxingSpeaking of the struggle of Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams against Patrice Volny this Saturday evening in Orlando, Florida.
Williams, 28, has lost only once during his six -year career, but he did not face any killer with the exception of Sheeraz, who is deeply imperfect. The other 17 guys that the ammunition fought were not names that most fans have never heard.
“It was one of the first times he had a strong and decent camp. It is a difficult fight. Volny is a big guy, and it’s a serious average weight, “said Hearn. “He’s a good fighter. The history of Williams ammunition is quite incredible. I think back to his professional beginnings, and he was this excitable young child. Then you browse the list everywhere he is in a box and everything he did. “”
Volny’s threat
Volny is a real big guy. Standing next to the ammunition, it looked like a great average weight. It is difficult to believe that it will gain weight tomorrow because it looks huge. Williams appeared short and skinny next to him.
“The fact that he is still there after all these problems and problems he had had, but you have to count him,” said Hearn about ammunition. “The stories are beautiful, but if you are beaten, you can’t do a lot with a story. When you compare people to ammunition, it’s a roller coaster ride. Let’s not do it twisted by thinking that it is normal to lose. It’s never normal to lose, but you can certainly come back.
There is little promoter, by building a fighter by telling their life story. This thing does not work with fans if the fighter does not win. They will not care what a fighter has lived in their lives to get to where they are. If they do not win, fans do not bother to pay attention.
Victory fight
“The reality is that, in this sport, if you are not good enough, you will not win. That’s it. If you are not good enough, you can look in the mirror. As long as you gave it everything, you can start again, “said Hearn.
“You have a lot of quality fighters, but you have many fighters who do not have massive profiles that are looking for opportunities against good names in exciting fights,” said Hearn when asked what possibilities were there for Austin Williams with an average weight if he is victorious against Volny on Saturday.
“You have the WBO champion [Janibek Alimkhanuly]. I think he will move forward at some point [to 168]. You just saw [WBC champ] Carlos Adames beat Hamzah Sheeraz. He’s a good fighter, but I was not blown away by him. So you have [WBA champion Erislandy] Lara. He’s a big fighter, but he’s going [41 years old].
“Listen, we want to launch the dice for the world’s average weight championship with Williams ammunition, but he has to win on Saturday,” said Hearn.
