Two American women were arrested at an immigration control point in California after agents of the border patrol determined that they were trying to get two children to two children in the United States.
Women were arrested Tuesday by border patrol agents assigned to the El Centro sector at an immigration checkpoint on Highway 86 near Westmorland, customs and border (CBP) (CBP) in a press release.
The authorities reported that a woman was driving while the other was in the front passenger seat, and two little girls, aged 10 and 12, were sleeping in the back. The identity of adults has not been released.

The woman initially driving told agents that they went to California from Arizona, but later told the authorities that they had come to the United States of Mexico through the port of entrance to San Luis.
The differences in the history of the driver prompted an indio station border patrol agent to refer their vehicle for a secondary inspection, where it was discovered that the photos and names of the children did not correspond to what was on their identity cards.
During the interrogation, the agents learned that the girls were not linked to any woman in the vehicle and that the driver did not know their mother.

Little girls were finally identified as minors not accompanied by Mexico, said CBP.
The chief agent of the Gregory Bovino patrol, from the El Centro sector, said that this incident is “how children’s traffic begins”.
“It is almost unbearable to think about what odious crimes await children who are not with their parents,” said Bovino. “The border environment has been filled with this type of activity in recent years, however, the objective has now changed, and heavy sentences have been waiting for smugglers who hurt children.”
