Barcelona finally hopes to go home to Camp Nou for the first weeks of next season, a report revealed.
The world renowned stadium has not seen a booty ball since the 2022/23 campaign, the Barca playing rather “home” games at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Company in the Montjuic district.
It was intended to be a temporary measure for last season, but the delays in the Camp Nou redevelopment project extended this stay to double its originally planned length.
But the latest measures are taken to ensure that the installation will be ready to start organizing games in the coming months. Mundo Deportivo Written that the land has now been laid, entirely installed in advance to allow it to be ready to be played in September.
Barcelona had previously confirmed that the tracking process would take approximately ten weeks and the deadline should also eliminate other setbacks and delays.
The Camp Nou project will not be fully completed next season. The stadium, during the reopening, will have to operate at a reduced capacity. But, even more than 60,000, it will be a stage in the company LLUIS (55,000) in terms of size and therefore invaluable match income.
The final completion of all renovations is expected before the 2026/27 season, thus restoring the capacity of more than 100,000.
In an official statement in February, Barcelona has spoke to delays so far.
“The development of works has undergone several unforgettable, a common situation in projects of this magnitude,” said the club.
“These are due to factors such as the availability of materials, the lack of skilled labor and the initially planned work, aspects that have generated changes in the execution hours, which were very tight from the start.”
