Cosmo Metals, a company of Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) Gold and Base Metals Exploration Company, acquired the gold and exploration projects in gold Bingara and Nundle in the New England Orogen of New South Wales (NSW), Australia.
Covering an area of 743 km², the projects cover the regions identified by the Department of Mines of New Wales of the NSW as having the highest antimony potential of the State, excluding the major Hillgrove project and on a global scale belonging to Larvotto Resources.
The Bingara project, with a contiguous area of 484.1 km², includes two north-south mineralized trends along the Peel Faille system.
The NUNDLE project, covering 259.1 km², also contains potential target areas along the Peel Faille.
Detection of high density light and extended to the diffusion of the capture of high -resolution images, which provides a detailed digital field model to guide future exploration activities, has been completed in projects.
Cosmo Metals now moves its objective to implement its exploration strategy in these projects.
Cosmo’s managing director, Ian Prentice, said: “Cosmo is delighted to finish the acquisition of Bingara & Nundle projects and delighted to start our exploration to these under-explore assets, which present several substantial historic mines.
“The hidden treasure – Spring Creek Trend presents first convincing first passing drilling targets as monitoring of golden and high -level golden drill interceptions.
The Cosmo technical team, during a site visit during the option period, confirmed the presence of largely not tested mineralized systems in Bingara and Nundle. Lidar data should help discover potential extensions of these systems.
Initial activities on the ground focus on the key target areas of Bingara, in particular the hidden treasure – Spring Creek Trend.
An additional geological mapping and sampling are provided in the Spring Creek region to refine the targeting of the forest and understand the controls on mineralization.
In addition, an initial phase of cartography and sampling of rock chips is proposed for the Evans and Corrigan target in the northwest of the Bingara project to assess historical functioning and potential mineralization.
In August 2024, Cosmo expanded its mining operations With the acquisition of two buildings at Kanowna Gold Project in Western Australia.
