The multinational logistics company DHL Express has said that it suspends global expeditions worth more than $ 800 to American consumers, including Hong Kong, due to regulatory changes to American customs.
DHL, which has its registered office in Germany, said that the suspension of expeditions would begin on Monday. The company said this decision is a temporary measure.
The company said that the decision had been made in response to new American customs rules requiring official start -up treatment on all shipments worth more than $ 800. The minimum was $ 2,500 before the announcement of a change on April 5.
DHL said business shipping will continue to continue but could face delays. Shipments worth $ 800 to companies or consumers have not been affected by changes.
