Palestinian officials have identified the 14 -year -old American citizen like Omar Mohammed Rabea.
A Palestinian-American teenager was shot by an Israeli Jewish colonist in an occupied West Bank, the Palestinian authorities said.
Palestinian officials identified the 14 -year -old young man like Omar Mohammed Rabea and said he was near a colony in Turmus Aya when the colonist opened fire.
There has been a sharp increase in the violence of the settlers, incursions, attacks and criminal fires against the Palestinians and their property in the territory since the start of the War of Israel in Gaza. The Israeli army also made a supported assault on the territory in various towns and villages.
Rabea was shot dead with two other teenagers by the colonist, said the mayor of the city, Adeeb Lafi.
Palestinian officials condemned the shooting. “This is another example of the violence of the Israeli settlers under way against the Palestinians, with impunity,” said a manager.
The victim’s family has not yet made a public declaration, but they have expressed their sorrow about their loss.
International criticism of expanding Israeli regulations and the violence of Jewish settlers has risen, leading to the condemnation of human rights groups in the world.
Israeli forces have opened an investigation into the murder, but there was no immediate commentary by the authorities. The Israeli soldiers and the settlers mostly operate without fear of judicial repercussions in the Palestinian regions.
There have been several cases of American citizens killed by Israelis in occupied West Bank.
In 2024, Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, a 26-year-old Turkish-American activist, was killed by an Israeli soldier while protested against illegal Israeli colonies, according to witnesses.
Shireen Abu Akleh, a Palestinian-American journalist for Al Jazeera, was also killed by the Israeli army in 2022 when he reported an occupied West Bank, although he was clearly identified as a member of the press.
