Struggle
- Russia said its air defense systems had destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones overnight and early in the regions of Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Belgorod, Moscow and Oryol, as well as Russian annular Crime.
- The Russian Defense Ministry said that its forces had captured the border village of Zhuravka in the Sumy of Ukraine region.
- The Ukrainian authorities recorded 145 Russian drones in its airspace during night attacks, 85 of which were destroyed while 49 were “lost” due to electronic war measures, said the Air Force of Kyiv.
- At least 13 people were injured by Russian drone attacks in the Ukrainian capital kyiv and the southern city of Mykolav overnight, local authorities said. Drone attacks have also damaged nine apartments, dozens of garages and an administrative building.
- At least one person was killed and three were injured by a Russian missile strike in the city of Dnipro Ukraine. The attack damaged the civil infrastructure and sparked a huge fire, said regional governor Serhiy Lysak.
- One person was also killed in a separate drone strike on a residential building in the city of Zhytomyr, west of kyiv, said Ukrainian officials.
- Images of a Ukrainian surveillance drone obtained by the Associated Press news agency have shown that four Ukrainian prisoners are slaughtered by soldiers carrying brands in Russian uniform.
- The shorter version of the video kremlin, which was published by a Russian military blogger, showed Ukrainian soldiers lying on the ground. The legend of the video said that “the enemy decided not to be killed and came out with his hands”. The video has not shown their execution.
Ceasefire
- The Ministry of Defense of Moscow accused Ukraine of having led 11 attacks on Russian energy infrastructure in the last 24 hours despite a 30 -day moratorium agreed on the energy strikes.
Politics and diplomacy
- Russia released the Russian dancer from the American ballet Ksenia Karelina, who was serving a 12-year prison sentence in an exchange of prisoners with the United States, reports the Reuters news agency, citing Karelina’s lawyer.
- Karelina was found guilty of betrayal by a Russian court for having made a donation of $ 52 to an American charitable work helping Ukraine. She was exchanged for Arthur Petrov, a German Russian citizen arrested in 2023.
- The Chinese Foreign Ministry called for a “sober” vision of its role in the Ukraine crisis after the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that kyiv’s information had information on 155 Chinese citizens fighting alongside the Russian forces against Ukraine.
