Harvard Jewish students are expressed after the University continues Trump’s administration on the freeze
Harvard has become a target of the broader repression of Trump against universities, a large part of which in response to the anti-Israel disorders from last year which broke out on campuses across the country.
On April 11, the Trump administration sent a letter to the president of the Harvard University, Dr. Alan Garber and the main member of Harvard Corporation, Penny Pritzker describing the failures of the institution and a list of white house requests. In the letter, the administration accused Harvard of not respecting civil rights laws and promoting an “environment that produces intellectual creativity”.
The Trump administration has threatened to draw federal funding if Harvard did not reform governance and leadership, as well as its hiring and admission practices by August 2025. The letter highlighted the need for Harvard to modify its international admission process to avoid admitting students who are “hostile” to American values or to support terrorism or anti -Semitism.
Harvard refused to comply with requests, Garber saying that “no government … should dictate what private universities can teach, that they can admit and hire, and the fields of study and investigation they can continue”. The University subsequently filed a complaint against the Trump administration for its “illegal” funds.

“For weeks preceding the letter of April 11, the company adopted a very different position towards the Trump administration. At the request of some of its greatest donors, the company has frantically tried to conclude an agreement with Mr. Trump,” reported Le Nyt.

In December 2023, Harvard was criticized on his management of anti-Semitism and anti-Israeli disorders on his campus after the massacre of Hamas and the war that followed. Rep. Elise Stefanik, Rn.y. – An ally of Trump – toasted the president of Claudine Gay University to find out if “calling for the genocide of the Jews” was intimidation and harassment. Gay said it depended on the “context”, a feeling resolved by the other presidents of the Ivy League who were questioned. Less than a month after the hearing, Gay resigned from his post. However, it remains employed by the university.
